Whatever you do, DO NOT right click the Start button and use the “shut down or sign out” command- your computer may not shit down and the only way you will get it to is by unplugging it while it is still on. The only way that Microsoft Edge works, as far as I can tell, since the icon disappeared from the toolbar and the apps shown by the start button a week ago, is to activate Cortana, get her/she/it/they to learn your voice and speak either the website you want to go to or say “Microsoft Edge” and you will get that browser on the Internet. I tried them all -the DISM commands, sfc/scannow, all the crap they kept repeating over and over and nothing worked until Microsoft, apparently, just issued a new upgrade in the last couple days.
